Greetings from Lunenburg, Nova Scotia

Waterfront in the olden days was a great ship building and fishing port
Fisheries Museum is dead red ahea
This is a charming old town fishing and ship building port that currently is warehousing the famous racing vessel the Bluenose II being reconstructed for preservation. Upon leaving Peggy’s Cove we met up for lunch with a great couple from Alberta here whom we had made acquaintance with on the ferry crossing over to Newfoundland. Case and Wilma shared travel tales with us and then joined us to tour the Lunenburg Fisheries Museum afterwards. The weather was sunny and lovely as we walked the docks enjoying the tall ships in port. There was a race in the harbor underway of old classic wooden boats so JR was naturally taking it all in with great enthusiasm. You might imagine how jealous he was not being on board one of the sailboats crewing that day. The Atlantic Maritimes have been a great chance to take in some wonderful history and fascinating sights. We are in the midst of trying to resolve the disappearance of all our photos off the computer which were downloaded from the camera and saved for the past month. You can imagine how frustrating that has become trying to retrieve numerousitems that have mysteriously vanished. Fortunately a few of our Lunenburg snapshots were salvaged as keepsakes. Enjoy.
