Fundy Trail Parkway, New Brunswick

Several gorgeous sunny days arrived in the nick of time for us here in Canada. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for a drive along the 16km(10 mile) Fundy Trail. Last year driving through Fundy National Park we missed seeing this hidden jewel.

Let's check out the sea caves

The Fundy Trail opens up previously unreachable areas of the Bay of Fundy coastline. Skirting cliff tops above the world’s highest tides, the Trail winds its way along one of the last remaining coastal wilderness areas between Florida and Labrador.

The panoramic views of one of the world’s most stunning coastlines was truly an awesome discovery. From stunning ocean views above the caves of St. Martins to the deep pools and rapids of Big Salmon River, the Trail delighted us at every turn. There were scenic lookouts, footpaths to beaches and a walk across a suspension footbridge.

The best part was that the Trail had just opened up for the season a week ago. Being the first ones out on it midweek one morning,we virtually enjoyed the entire trail all to ourselves. This kind of natural, unspoiled beauty is hard to find.
